IUSD Annual Survey
Our district’s Annual Survey will open at 8am on January 3rd and will close on January 24. Please take a moment to complete this important survey.  Your responses are critical in providing feedback about school climate and where resources are focused through the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) process. This interactive process helps IUSD identify annual goals, take action on those goals, and measure progress on academic achievement, school climate, and parent engagement as part of the 10-month LCAP process. To take the parent survey now, click here. Thank you in advance for your participation.  Your engagement, partnership, and support continue to enable IUSD to best serve our students.

Locking Bikes and Scooters in the Bike Rack
We have noticed that very few bikes and scooters are locked in our bike rack. After school there are usually a few bikes and scooters that are left behind and then go missing. Please lock bikes and scooters. If your bike or scooter is stolen, you may contact IPD and file a report.

Lost or Stolen Bike/Scooter Information:

  1. Report theft on the Irvine Police Dept. on-line crime report
  2. Register Bike with Irvine Police Dept. (once found or replaced)
  3. Always LOCK your bike or scooter to the bike rack (each day you park it at school)

Procedure to submit an online theft:

  • Website:  CityOfIrvine.org/Irvine-police-department
  • Scroll to Services…”Select On-line and Video Crime Reporting”
  • Scroll then Select “ Online Crime Reporting”
  • Scroll then Select “Bike Theft”

Irvine Junior Games
The Irvine Children's Fund (ICF) is announcing the kick off and celebration of the 33rd ANNUAL IRVINE JUNIOR GAMES (IJG), which will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the Irvine High School Stadium.

Through the Irvine Junior Games, grants, corporate and personal sponsorships, the Irvine Children’s Fund is proud to have donated over 3.2 million dollars toward childcare scholarships, maintenance and expansion of childcare facilities, completed the ADA upgrades at 7 child care sites, provided grants for instruction, athletic equipment, activities and supplies to the childcare sites.  For 2021-2022, ICF has committed $80,000 for Before and After School Child Care Scholarships on the child care sites.

The Irvine Junior Games celebrates its 33rd year, and its continued growth and success because of the partnership between the IUSD, the Irvine Child Care Project, the Irvine Children's Fund, and the Irvine Junior Games.  There continues to be 100% participation from all the elementary and middle schools with more than 1,200 students in grades 4-8 participating in the track and field events, including special events for the Adaptive P.E. students.

As this is a fundraising event for child care at Irvine school sites there will be a $40 charge to each participating athlete, which will include the athlete's participation and an IJG T-shirt. See the website for details about events students can participate in.

Community Watch
After school, we have many families that enjoy our campus, so we ask that the community be vigilant and report vandalism immediately. Areas that have been targeted are the lunch tables, restrooms, drinking fountain areas, the front courtyard, and concrete seating areas.

If you notice any suspicious, unsafe, or illegal activity, please call the Irvine Police Department’s Non-Emergency Line (below) directly to report the issue. You may also call IUSD’s Campus Safety Department. If you notice excessive litter or debris, please email IUSD Campus Safety.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us keep our campus clean and safe.

Traffic Safety
With the potential for rain on the way this month, we would like to take this time to remind our community of the importance of safe driving habits. When it is raining, it is important to allow additional time to get to school and park. With the majority of our community walking to school each morning, the inclement weather adds many additional cars on the surrounding roads and parking lots. Please continue to model safety by using our crosswalks, making complete stops at stop signs, and driving slowly near the school and in our parking lots. Additionally, please do not leave your car unattended, even for a few minutes, in our parking lot loading zones along the curb. Not only is it illegal, but it is incredibly disruptive and inconsiderate to others. Thank you in advance for keeping our children safe. Click here to read the Traffic Safety news article on our website.

Donate Clothes and Shoes
Cypress Village is thrilled to partner with UsAgain and to have UsAgain Tree Machine boxes on our campus.  This is a great and convenient way for you to donate your used clothing and shoes and to help the environment at the same time.  Usagain takes these donations and gives them new life, keeping them out of landfills and even plants a tree every time we fill the bin.  Thank you for your participation in this great recycling program!

Free and Reduced Lunch Price Applications Available in the Front Office or On-Line

  • Free/Reduced School Lunch is available for income-eligible families: You can apply here confidentially. About one in five IUSD families receive this service.
