Dear Cypress Village Families:
As our students settle into their schools and we move closer to the end of the first trimester, we wanted to check in with our families to determine if there is interest in changing academic models. We will consider requests for placement within the Irvine Virtual Academy as well as placement within our traditional and hybrid models. While we are committed to honoring as many requests from families as possible, movement between models will remain dependent on space and staffing and our ability to maintain safe classroom environments.
Regardless of any previous requests for model changes, please complete this form if you would like to request an academic model change for the 2nd trimester. Families with previous requests will be acknowledged and considered within the process.
All academic model placement requests for elementary and middle school students must be submitted by October 22nd at 4 p.m. For these students, changes will occur at the end of the trimester – November 13th. We will begin contacting families who have requested an academic model change the last week in October. As stated earlier, while we will attempt to honor as many requests from families as possible, movement between models will remain dependent on classroom space, staffing and our ability to maintain safe classroom environments.
