Virtual Back to School Night - October 1st
Since we are now scheduled to begin in-person instruction for those students in the traditional and hybrid academic models on September 24th, we have scheduled our Back To School Night for Thursday, October 1st. On that evening, each teacher will be sharing virtually his/her specific plans for the year ahead. Grades 1-3 will be held at 6:00 P.M. and grades 4-6 will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Virtual Parent Conference Week, October 5th - October 9th
Cypress Village teachers will be holding virtual parent/teacher conferences from Monday, October 5 through Friday, October 9.  On Wednesday, October 7, conferences will be held all day and therefore there will be no school for students in K-6th grade.  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are all minimum days with 1st–6th grade students in the traditional model being dismissed at 1:30.  Kindergarten students will remain on their regular schedule during these dates.

Classroom Supply Lists
The Classroom Supply Lists are posted on the Cypress Village website here. They are differentiated by grade level and we appreciate any supplies you are able to donate. Please remember that Cypress Village Elementary will provide all of the necessary supplies for your child to have a quality educational experience.

Kids Club
Kids Club is an after-school recreation program, for kids K-6, where they will engage in games, sports, and crafts. It provides a dynamic social environment for kids, and of course lots of fun. CLICK HERE for their flyer.

IPSF
INTRODUCING IPSF ACE ONLINE!

Explore interests and discover passions after school from home! IPSF’s ACE Online program offers enrichment classes that allow students in grades 1-12 to connect with instructors and classmates in a virtual, live classroom. Classes are kept small to maximize the experience for all students. Fall classes start September 28. Each day of the week, Monday - Friday, offers different subjects from coding to cartooning to SAT test prep and more! Class descriptions, schedule, and more info at: ipsf.net/afterschoolCLICK HERE for flyer.

Special Note from Mrs. Lambert
As parents, you play a huge role in your students’ education at home, but you can also have an impact on what we are able to do here at school by getting involved with two important groups that support Cypress Village – PTA and IPSF.

We are lucky to have an active and dynamic PTA. Our PTA has a reputation in the school district for providing exceptional and innovative events and experiences for our students and support for our staff. They provide technology support, assemblies, 5th Grade Mother-Daughter Tea, 6th Grade Guys Night, Red Ribbon Week, Ice Cream Social, and much, much more.

We are also very fortunate in Irvine to have a foundation that supports our entire district. This organization is called the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, also known as IPSF. IPSF provides programs to enrich every student’s experience - including afterschool and summer classes. They also raise funds for many areas including music teachers, beginning in TK, instructional assistants that allow our teachers to give more individual attention to your child, and mental health resources. This support is needed now more than ever. IPSF runs solely on contributions from parents and the community. Your donations to IPSF allow Cypress Village to hire more professionals that add to your child’s learning experience.

I encourage you to support both our Cypress Village PTA and IPSF to ensure that our students have every opportunity that they deserve. Although their support might look different from past years, the need for their support still exists and may be needed more than ever this year! Please do what you can to help.
