Double Parking
The Irvine Police Department has noticed an increase in double parking during drop-off and pick-up, off of Rush Lily. Please be advised that this area will be patrolled and tickets will be issued for double parking and jaywalking. As always, if you notice anything suspicious, unsafe, or illegal activity, please call IPD directly to report the issue. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe.
Exciting Upgrades for Student Safety
We are so excited about the new fence in the parking lot. The goal of this fence is to help direct our community to use the crosswalk and keep our students safe. Thank you for your doing your part in keeping our students safe!
Fall Fest Day - Friday, October 29th
All students are invited to dress up in their favorite costume on Friday, October 29th for fall fest day. Please have your child follow the guidelines below when they are considering their costumes:
- Children come to school dressed in their costume. We will not allow costume changes to take place at school.
- Children should wear a costume that can be comfortably worn throughout the entire day.
- Be sure to have your children wear proper clothes and underclothes underneath their costume just in case they find their costume to be too hot or uncomfortable and wish to take it off before the day is over.
- Children may not wear masks that depict violent or frightening characters to school. (Child cartoon character masks that are part of an overall costume are acceptable.)
- Children may not wear make-up to school. (For example, no full face makeup, no dripping blood, no make-up on hands that will smear on papers.)
- Children should not bring any object that they will need to hold in their hands. Of special emphasis is our State Education Code that states children may not bring any toy weapons to school of any sort at any time.
- Children should not come in costumes that depict any kind of graphic violence.
- Children should be discouraged from wearing any costume material that could be easily damaged.

IPSF: Save the Date – IPSF Giving Day Oct. 21
Get ready to once again Turn Irvine Orange in support of educational excellence in Irvine. IPSF Giving Day will be Thursday, October 21 and we need your help to get the word out to WEAR ORANGE and support our schools. Additional info, sample social media posts, and more to come, but please mark your calendar now!
IPSF: Ignite Potential
IPSF is honored to be one of the outstanding organizations participating in the Igniting Potential community initiative to raise funds to support the youth in Orange County. Funds raised for IPSF today will specifically support mental health resources in our schools. During this turbulent time, it is even more crucial for us to support the well-being of the whole child, including mental health.
For this day, IPSF Board Chairman Mike Breller and his wife Peilin would like to challenge the community to match the $10,000 they’ve raised from the generosity of their friends! In addition, all donations are also matched by City of Irvine. It is only with your support that we can reach our $20,000 goal!
Give today and double your impact!

PLEDGE DRIVE AND RACE TO 100% MEMBERSHIP
Our Pledge Drive still continues! We are almost halfway to our overall goal of $40,000. You can pledge and donate to the school via our website (cypressvillagepta.org) or through the envelopes that were sent home in the conduits last week (or this week). Both pledge options include 1 PTA membership and that counts towards the race to 100% for the class parties!
Remember that total # of kids + teacher = the # of PTA memberships credited to that class. And anyone can be a PTA member — grandparents, aunts, uncles, babysitters… just make sure you put your teacher’s name in the membership so that it counts towards your class.
There’s still time to win a pizza, donut OR popsicle party!!!
For our Pledge Drive we area looking for a school-wide celebration as well if we hit our goal of $40,000.
