Mindful Parenting - Session description:
We all want our children to be happy, more peaceful, more attuned to others’ needs, and to be able to regulate during stressful times. The best way for them to learn these skills is through watching their role models practice them.  Yet, what does it mean to be mindful?  And what does it mean to parent mindfully?  How can we become more present with and for our children when life can be so incredibly busy?  How can we begin to emotion coach our children and help them thrive through adversity?  In our time together, we’ll explore these questions and understand the why and how of mindful parenting.  This session will be active, fun, and you’ll learn a ton!

About the Presenter:
Roni Habib, is an expert in helping educators and parents become more mindful and connected to the children in their care.  He leads workshops and speaks in schools nationally and abroad and is the founder of EQ Schools.  At the beginning of his career, Roni struggled with the high stresses and demands of teaching and began to lose touch with why he wanted to be a teacher in the first place.  It was so painful that he finally discovered the power of integrating Mindfulness, Emotional Intelligence, and Positive Psychology in his classroom, in parenting his children, and in his own life.  He felt called to share this new approach with the world.  Roni has since inspired hundreds of educators and parents through his workshops and conferences.  Most importantly, he has a huge heart and loves helping people.

Mindful Parenting 2.0 - Session description
Parenting is no easy task. Power struggles, peer or sibling conflicts, and a lack of cooperation are only a few of the many challenging situations parents have to deal with on a daily basis. In this session you will learn four ways to respond to your child when they are in distress and get tools that allow you to be fully emotionally attuned to your child. We’ll explore what causes us to get triggered as parents and how to regulate ourselves so we can fully regulate and support our children.  We will learn tangible listening skills applicable to any relationship in life and essential to parenting. This session is going to be interactive, practical, and packed with great strategies. Attendance in the first mindful parenting workshop is not required in order to get a lot of value from this session.
